I was born a preacher’s kid and raised in Westport Ontario, where I grew to know God in a personal way and serve Him no matter what.

Music became a part of me at a very early age, I began singing with my brother Dave and my cousin Ken Harnden, as The Proverbs.
Over the next several years, The Proverbs recorded 8 albums, received our first award in 1969 for Best Amateur Band in Eastern Ontario and traveled across Canada and the United States.

Later, after my involvement in groups such as Manna and The Masters, I took a few years off from touring to raise my boys Ryan, Jordon and Steven. During that time I became part of the Christian bikers, where I was able to reach other people through a different form of ministry.

As a part of Crimson River, I am so happy to be singing with great friends. It’s like falling in love over again. This group has touched my life in a special way and I hope we have many more years together.

The beginning of an awesome journey with the Lord started when I asked Jesus into my heart at the age of five. Although I have failed Him many times, God has been so faithful.

I'm so thankful we serve a God, whose very nature, is love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. 1 John 1: 9 states “ If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to purify us from all unrighteousness.” (NIV)

I remember the first time I sang in public, with my parents at a tent meeting. That was pretty scary for a ten year old. Listening to groups such as the Speers, Stamps, Lefevres, Cathedrals, Gaithers, and many others, sparked a love for gospel music. At eighteen, I felt God's call to serve Him in the ministry of music, and started playing, and singing in a group, sharing the good news of God's grace.

What a honour to be a part of the Crimson River Gospel Music Ministry. I am so blessed.

“ And sing, sing your hearts out to God. Let every detail of your lives – words, actions, whatever – be done in the name of the Master Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.” Colossians 3: 16 (Message)
